    Dog Trainer/Behavior Consultant

I have been an animal lover ever since I can remember. When other young girls were playing with dolls and dressing up as princesses, I was busy with my stuffed animals and pretending to be a vet. This passion inspired me to pursue a career in the animal care industry, and I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Otterbein University in Zoo & Conservation Science. Thanks to this program, I was able to take college courses on animal behavior and was introduced to training methodology. I completed two internships at accredited zoos, where I got to witness firsthand the magic of positive reinforcement training. While working as a zookeeper was fun, I did not feel it would be a lifetime career for me. I realized I was more interested in working with companion animals, and throughout college I worked at a doggie daycare/boarding kennel and two different animal shelters. During my senior year of college, I began fostering service dogs and absolutely fell in love with training, especially service dogs since I knew they would go on to make a huge difference in someone’s life. Thanks for a very supportive family, I was able to pursue this passion and work full time as a dog trainer after graduation in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I continued working with service dogs as well as many wonderful pet dogs. I recently made the move from Michigan to Colorado and am super excited to be a part of the Noble Beast team!
