    ***PLEASE NOTE******

Our daycare is not a drop-in daycare.  Because we choose to limit the number of dogs’ we have in our space we are unable to accommodate random, selective, or drop-in days.

As a training team that specializes in dog/dog socialization and group play dynamics, the way we run our daycare will fully support the science of dog behavior and dog learning.

We are very excited to introduce you to our style of Dog Daycare, as we genuinely feel that it is much better than the traditional Dog Daycare model of allowing large groups of dogs to co-mingle with free choice and free play, while being overseen by a person to dog ratio of 1 to 15.  Our model allows us to focus more on each dogs’ individual social preferences and help all dogs in this program be socially successful.

Opening up a dog daycare was a very hard decision for us as dog trainers, because dog daycare – in the traditional sense, is not great for many dogs.  It is almost as if a pup has to be the perfect candidate for the service – AT ALL LIFE STAGES and DURING ALL LIFE EVENTS, and we have yet to find that perfect dog.  We even tried the traditional model for over a year, with a more attentive focus on separating dogs by size, energy, and personality – but the problem is that dogs go through life changes that affect their behaviors just like people, so it was nearly impossible to perfect that traditional mode of daycare.

The problem with dog daycare is that arousal is hard to control with a large number of dogs in groups, each with their own individual personalities,  and when dogs get over-aroused it can lead to situations in which dogs can become:

    • Snappy with other dogs
    • Pushy or forceful with other dogs
    • Fearful of other dogs or certain dogs
    • Anxious when around other dogs or certain dogs

For Noble Beast, even if one dog ever feels anxious or fearful in our program, it just makes our hearts ache.  At Noble Beast we are committed to doing what is best for all dogs all the time – even if it means a dog can’t participate in one of our programs or services.  The great thing about this model of Daycare is that we have the ability to really cater to your pup’s activities to their social preferences and even work on some behaviors to help them be even more successful in social and active environments.

Here is what we provide in our Activity Center:

    • Dogs will get play-time, but in smaller groups that are created to support a dog’s personality and dog energy preferences – getting inside and outside playtime!
    • The group size will depend on your pup’s personality and energy
      • If your pup is sensitive to other pups, the play-group maybe 4 – 5 dogs
      • If your pup is happy go lucky and loves to play, the play-group may be up to 8 – 9 dogs
    • All dogs get a 20-minute Loose Leash Walking session. We felt that this gets dogs outside on a walk to sniff, release arousal, and get a change of scenery.  Great way to reset a dog’s mind and body!
      • Full day Daycare = 2 walks per day
      • Half-Day Daycare = 1 walk per day
    • All dogs get multiple sessions, in small groups of 3 or 4, on an agility fun course! The amount of sessions will depend on your pup’s personality and energy level, but all dogs will get work on the following:
      • Basic Manners & Obedience
      • Kennel training to help dogs who struggle being in kennels and/or entering/exiting kennels without arousal
      • Body handling to help dogs who have body handling sensitivities related to vet visits or grooming.
      • Trick Training – If a pup is well versed on all of the above – a guardian will work on trick training.
      • Relaxation Protocols – designed to help dogs learn the skills of self-soothing and relaxing in active environments

This daycare model has been designed to support our relationship-focused training philosophy.  Dogs like people, vary greatly in personality, social preferences, and play styles.  Where some dogs absolutely could attend doggy daycare in the traditional sense, as they lack any kind of outward sign of fear, anxiety, and or aggression, other dogs prefer more intimate play settings with smaller groups of dogs, enjoy the engagement of people over dogs, or maybe even have health or pain challenges that would lead them to become snappy if dogs in play ran into them.  It is our responsibility to recognize and honor their preferences.

In short, our daycare is designed and ran to support an environment that is fun, safe, and enjoyable for ALL dogs in attendance, and is ONLY OFFERED to the Noble Beast Dog Training client – meaning, this is not a daycare open to the general public.

As a prerequisite to having your dog join the Champagne Room Dog Daycare Activity Center, your dog must have trainer approval, and to get trainer approval your dog must meet one of the following criteria:

    • Be attending at least two weeks of, or have passed (either in a group class or privately), one of the following classes:
      • Delightful Dog
      • Clicker 101
      • Devine Dog
      • Canine Good Citizen
      • Have attended at least 5 sessions of our Group Day Training Program.
      • Have completed at least 3 sessions of private in-home training with a focus on Manners & Obedience – Private In-Home Training.

This ensures a solid social behavior and manners foundation has been set, which will help the pups acclimate to the structure, rules, and daycare games they will experience in our Activity Center environment.

We also want to share with you a bit about our Dog Guardians – the people who will be playing with and providing activities for your pups.  Where some of our Champagne Room Guardians will actually be trainers, those that are not will get 16 hours of group dog training with a Noble Beast Senior Trainer in our Group Day Training Program to ensure they are fully versed in dog body language, a healthy social environment for dogs in groups, as well as learning the best safety and management measures for dogs in groups.  In addition, they will be expected to participate in our continuing education meetings, lectures, and seminars that are offered multiple times throughout the year.

We can honestly state that we feel the Noble Beast Dog Training Champagne Room Dog Day Care Activity Center will be the best daycare environment for dogs in the state of Colorado, simply because it was developed by Relationship Focused and Scientifically Based Noble Beast Dog Trainers!

A Pre-Training Questionnaire will need to be filled out prior to your pup being enrolled in daycare to determine:

    • If they have met the training requirements
    • If Daycare is an appropriate environment for them.  On occasion it will be necessary for your pup to complete a working evaluation where he/she attends daycare for 1 – 5 days before determining if the environment is appropriate for him/her.
    • This class is not an open enrollment class so you won’t find a class schedule on the website for this service. Contact Noble Beast for availability.
    • Once enrolled, renewal payments must be received by 3pm the day before a scheduled day of Daycare to be able to attend the following day
    • It is a requirement for all dogs to be committed to a weekly schedule – we do not offer drop-in daycare as we limit the number of dogs in our program to ensure a safe and happy environment both mentally & physically.
